My Cameroon May 2010 Trip
August 04 2010
Our trip to Africa this year was very productive for the Kingdom of God! What we experienced will be hard to put into words, but I am going to do my best to share with you.
I want to thank each of you for your prayers and financial support, because without you, this work could not have been accomplished. We are a team and because we came together on this project, and put our resources together, much was achieved in Cameroon in 2010.
In each church service the Spirit of God manifested in different ways, but always arrived with a fresh fire for each congregation just the way they needed it. It truly amazed our team.
In Bamenda we saw a woman healed who was a hunch-back and couldn’t stand up straight. She came through the prayer line on Sunday morning to simply receive a fresh touch from God and on Sunday night she came back up and said that she wanted to receive her healing, God healed her instantly and she danced all over the front of the sanctuary! We also prayed for many sick folks who we know God healed instantly from their sicknesses!
Also while in Bamenda, the altars were filled with people who felt a call to the ministry. They cried out to God non-stop for what seemed like hours as the Spirit of God filled them “fresh” with a flow of His Spirit, His power and fire. They had been dry and as our team watched in amazement, it was as if they found their way to the “watering hole” and God began to quench their thirst! God poured out manna on them.
Local pastors who couldn’t even get into the building were crying out to God for more of Him through the windows from the outside of the building while standing in the dirt. It moved our team to tears.
After preaching in one of the services, our team was encountered by a witch who tried to manipulate us with deception, but ultimately it was turned around for our good! They had been working a plan for the entire past year to kill me, Pastor Crissy, and it was all exposed during this amazing encounter. They had also been up to several other tactics to hinder our work and during our meeting it was all exposed through the anointing of Jesus Christ! So, the tactic was destroyed and the plot quenched!!!
During each service the altars were filled with people who wanted to give their lives to Jesus Christ. Salvations were plentiful and that was very rewarding. People were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues as the spirit of God gave them utterance.
We were able to financially bless several people while in Bamenda including pastors, laity, and bible college students. All because of your liberal giving to this ministry!
While we were in Bamenda we were able to minister on the radio. This is one of the best means of communication in Africa because while people are out in the market places, the radios are on and everyone can hear the Gospel being preached! During our time on the radio we had a listening audience of 70,000 people and many people called in to the station. They even had people who lined up outside of the station wanting us to pray for them when we left.
After being in Bamenda for the weekend, our team got into a cockroach infested van and traveled 8 hours to Limbe in a vehicle that was supposed to have air-conditioning but evidently they didn’t realize that they were supposed to put Freon in the air-conditioner to make it work! Ha ha ha! It was hot, and the cockroaches were alive, but we were focused!
Once we arrived to Limbe, we checked into our hotel to find the mother of all cockroaches in our hotel room. We were tired, hot, hungry, and very far from home. So, we had no choice but to stay focused on the assignment!
Our first church service in Limbe was very tough. This was a church that needed a true revival. Pastors had traveled from different places to be in this conference, compliments of our ministry. Crissy Sanders Ministries paid their travel expenses and blessed them so that they could be a part of this event. But, religious mind-sets ruled…and that is something that is hard to break. Our team had to rely on the anointing. But, praise God that His anointing never fails. God took over the service, and lives were changed and the altars were packed with people crying out for the fire of God. It was truly something to behold….So this set the atmosphere for the next two services which were amazing!
People got saved, healed and delivered. God spoke to pastors, confirmed His calling on people’s lives, and the Gifts of the Spirit flowed freely. That church and those pastors shall NEVER be the same.
We had women who were practicing witches come up to us in the altars during those services, and confess their sin. They said that they wanted freed from their bondage and we gave them direction with the local churches and led them to Jesus Christ!
There was a little girl who was orphaned that came up to me in Limbe and told me that her aunt had been trying to get her to be a witch for many years. I was able to minister to her. It truly was a ‘God moment’ for this child!
After ministering in Limbe, our team would return to our hotel to take cold showers, because we didn’t have hot water…ugh~ Then it really hit me that we were in Africa! One of our team members found a spider the size of a man’s hand in his room beside his toilet. Of course, our entire team gathered around the toilet to see it. It was an African Paralytic spider. Once it bites you, it paralyzes you and you die….goodbye! Oh my goodness. That was scary. Of course what was we supposed to do? We killed it and had a good ole’ laugh and thanked God for his protection from all harm. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t kill it! But someone from our team did!
Part of our team went to the orphanage and took food for them. That was awesome. Praying for the children and blessing them with a month’s supply of food. Those are things that you never forget and will always be imprinted in your memory. The director of the orphanage was so discouraged that day, but when our team arrived, she was encouraged and prayed for! What an on-time God we serve.
We drove to the village and that is always a life changing event. Just to be able to look at the people in the village and tell them that God loves them, and to bless them financially is something that seems so simple here in America but it is huge in the villages of Africa.
The witch-doctors are always available to them in the villages, so we want them to know that God is available to them!
One-on-one ministry abounded everywhere we went. That is a given with our team! As we took a day and went to the market place, we found many people to minister to and invited many people to the services, and it was so fulfilling to see them attend and be ministered to!
Then we traveled to Tiko for our final church service where God once again showed Himself faithful. God moved mightily in Tiko and poured His spirit out on that church in a grand way. Salvations, healings and deliverances followed the preaching of the Word of God and the pastor shared with us about how the word was so on target for his congregation.
So much happened while I was there! These were life changing things that I shall never forget. Each time I go over-seas and I come back home I leave a piece of my heart there. I won’t stop until I see revival on the entire nation of Cameroon. Thank you so much to each person who has teamed up with our ministry to make this possible! We are a team and just as much as God has used me to see this happen, HE HAS USED YOU ALSO!
I plan to return to Cameroon in May of 2011, and then we plan to go to Pakistan in the fall of 2011. Thank you in advance for sowing into these ministry trips!
I love doing what God has called me to do,
Pastor Crissy!
